Step 1: Inquiry & Quotation

Operation Content: The salesperson receives the client's inquiry, and clarifies key information with the client, including shipper, consignee, notify party, commodity name, port of destination, transshipment port, container type & quantity, shipment deadline, stowage requirements, and freight settlement method. The route supervisor then inquires about prices from shipping lines to apply for a more favorable rate, and finally provides a quotation to the shipper.

Operation Content: After the client accepts the quotation, and then issue the bookings to us. We will prepares the booking form with the cargo information from Supplier while we contact with them, and applies for shipping space from carriers (such as shipping lines or airlines). Once the space is confirmed, a shipping space confirmation note (or booking confirmation) is obtained.

Operation Content: The freight forwarder arranges to release the shipping space to the supplier for container loading (either door-to-door delivery or warehouse stuffing). Meanwhile, it prepares documents required for customs declaration, including Customs Declaration Power of Attorney, customs declaration form, invoice, and packing list. Customs declaration is submitted before the cut-off time, and the dock receipt is tracked to ensure the cargo is loaded onto the vessel.

Operation Content: After the vessel sails, the freight forwarder sends a PRE-ALERT to relevant parties to inform them of the cargo shipment information. Then, it settles fees with the client. After the client confirms and makes the payment, the freight forwarder confirm receive the payment from client and releases documents according to the client’s requirements (e.g., issuing original bill of lading, telex release, or SEAWAY BILL).
